Physics Department

The Department of Physics, one of the oldest Departments of this College was established in 1971. The Department is committed to engage in high quality research and pursuit of excellence in teaching. The faculty members of the Department are actively involved in research and development in frontier areas of both pure and applied physics. The Department of Physics offers undergraduate course (B.Sc.) which is running in annual mode. Physics is a launching pad for courses like Electrical and Electronic Science, Robotic Sciences, M.C.A., M.B.A., Civil Services and Forensic Sciences, etc.
The Department has big class rooms with two well-equipped laboratories (one for Mechanics & Electronics and one dark room for Optics Practical). For the inculcation of a scientific temper and holistic development of a student we also supplement the conventional teaching with scientific excursions, seminars, guest lectures by eminent Scientists/Professors, quiz competitions, scientific debates etc.
